Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information My Meals (the "App"), made by 855 Development LLC ("we," "us"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it to be read, not skimmed past — it's short because we don't collect much.

The short version

• We collect what you give us: your account details and your food preferences.
• We use it for one thing: making the App work for you.
• We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't use third-party ad trackers.
• You can ask us to delete everything, any time.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account: your email address, your first name, and a password (stored in hashed form — we never see or store your actual password). If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email Apple shares based on your choices.

Food profile. The preferences you enter so the App can work: allergies, foods you dislike, dietary and budget preferences, shopping frequency, and the kitchen equipment you own.

App activity. What you do inside the App: recipes you like or favorite, your meal calendar, serving sizes, grocery lists and checked-off items, and meals you've marked as cooked.

What we don't collect. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health records, or browsing activity. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

How we use your information

• To operate the App: filtering recipes around your allergies and preferences, building your meal calendar and grocery lists, and syncing your data to your account
• To send notifications you've allowed (for example, a reminder when your meal plan is running low) — these are generated on your device
• To respond when you contact support
• To fix bugs and keep the App working

Where your data lives

Your account data is stored with Supabase, our cloud database provider, on servers located in the United States. Supabase processes data on our behalf and under our instructions. If you sign in with Apple, Apple processes that sign-in per its own privacy policy. Some preferences (like your chosen color theme) are stored only on your device.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information — to anyone, ever.
• We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.

We would disclose information only if required by law, or as part of a business transfer (in which case this policy would continue to apply and we would notify you).

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data, email wes@855dev.com from the email tied to your account. We'll confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it at any time by contacting us. If you're a resident of California, the EU/EEA, or another region with privacy laws granting specific rights (such as access, portability, correction, and deletion), we honor those requests for everyone, regardless of where you live. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold small on purpose.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the App. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
